Compact plant for water and sludge treatment in limited spaces
Main requirements:

  • Optimisation of available space through a compact design, without compromising functionality or operational efficiency.
  • Integration of the existing water system (from river and groundwater sources) with an efficient logic for managing water demand.
  • Integrated management of surplus water from drilling muds.

Plant details

Seamless integration with existing infrastructure

The project was designed to perfectly blend with the existing structures, ensuring operational continuity and maximizing overall system efficiency—without requiring invasive modifications or prolonged downtime.

Vertical development and minimal footprint

The plant configuration minimizes the horizontal space requirements, making it ideal even in areas with limited space. A compact solution that delivers top-tier technical and functional performance.

Clarified water

The treatment process produces clarified water that is pumped back to the washing plant, achieving a closed-loop water recovery rate of over 95% by weight. Properly clarified water reduces maintenance downtime for the washing system.

Pressed sludge

Thanks to Tecnoidea’s filter press, the dewatering phase significantly reduces the volume of sludge—the only output of the treatment system. The final product is a pressed sludge, easier to handle, transport, and manage in compliance with current regulations.

Order and Cleanliness

The plant was designed with a focus on organization and spatial functionality, promoting a clean, safe, and easily accessible working environment for management and maintenance activities. Daily care helps ensure long-term operational reliability.

Teamwork

The project was carried out through close collaboration between the Tecnoidea and Metcam teams, who were involved in every phase: from design and installation to commissioning. The synergy between complementary skill sets ensured a precise, efficient, and on-schedule result.
