Sludge treatment plant to reduce water consumption
Main requirements:

  • Sludge treatment integrated into a new plant: previously, thickened sludge was discharged into settling tanks.
  • Elimination of issues related to natural drying, which was challenging due to the Belgian climate.
  • Reduction of problems arising from the management of liquid sludge in overloaded tanks.
  • Decrease in water consumption through recovery and recycling of water during the treatment process.

Plant details

Optimal performance and sustainable management

The new sludge treatment plant ensures high operational efficiency, adapting to the variability of the characteristics of the fed sludge, in accordance with the laboratory test cases conducted on different materials. The treatment capacity varies depending on the number of hourly cycles (from 1 to 3 cycles per hour): ranging from a minimum of 4.5 to 13.4 m³/h.

Optimized layout to comply with environmental regulations

The plant has been designed to comply with stringent environmental constraints and a limited available surface area. By optimising the layout, it has been possible to integrate a large press and a sludge tank into a compact structure, ensuring accessibility, operability, and ease of handling—all in full compliance with the required environmental regulation.

Remote control system for continuous monitoring

The plant, located away from the client’s offices, has been designed for complete remote management. Thanks to remote assistance and the latest-generation Tosi-box system, the control interface is accessible from the client’s devices, enabling continuous and effective monitoring of the proper functioning of all plant equipment. Likewise, Tecnoidea technicians can remotely monitor operations and intervene promptly in case of anomalies, ensuring a reliable and efficient technical support service without the need for on-site supervision.
